Type instructions in plain English — Nova picks the right tool, asks for missing details, and shows what it changed. Examples below are starting points, not the only valid phrasings.
Keyboard shortcuts
- Open the command palette from anywhere.
Ctrl + K (or ⌘ + K on Mac)
- Close the palette, or close the chat panel.

- Focus Nova (the walking companion) and open chat.
Tab to Nova, then Enter or Space
- Send a chat message / insert a newline.
Enter to send · Shift + Enter for a new line
- Navigate palette suggestions.

Companion commands (Nova herself)
- Sleep — walks to the corner and tucks in until you wake her.

- Pause roaming — Nova stays still wherever she is.

- Resume roaming or wake from sleep.

- Move her by hand — drag the FAB anywhere; hover within reach of a sleeping Nova to wake her.

- Open the dashboard.

Create & open courses
- Start a new course from a topic or an uploaded file (PPTX, DOCX, PDF, TXT, MD).
"Create a course on workplace ethics with 5 sections."
- Open, save, or export the current course; navigate dashboard tabs and search.
"Open the Onboarding course." / "Export this as a SCORM zip."
- Sort and search the dashboard, switch between My Courses / Shared / Templates.
"Show shared courses sorted by most recent."
Outline editing
- Edit course / section / subtopic titles, regenerate any one or the whole outline.
"Rename section 2 to 'Conflict Resolution'." / "Regenerate the outline."
- Add, delete, or reorder sections and subtopics before bodies are filled in.
"Add a subtopic about role-play exercises under section 3."
- Approve the outline to move on to slide generation.
"Looks good, approve the outline."
Slides & content
- Add, delete, duplicate, move, or select slides; revert your edits to a slide.
"Duplicate slide 4 and move the copy after slide 7."
- Edit slide title and body, rewrite a slide in a different tone, or add icons to bullets.

- Upload images, set or fade slide background images, clear backgrounds.
"Use this image as the background for slide 2 at 30% fade."
Quizzes, flashcards & assessment
- Edit quiz questions inline, regenerate them, or change correct answers.
"Make the quiz on slide 6 harder."
- Add, remove, or edit final-assessment questions in bulk or one at a time.
"Add 3 more assessment questions on the last section."
- Add, remove, or edit flashcards.
"Add a flashcard about the STAR framework."
Theme & appearance
- Switch theme presets, apply a named palette, tweak any single color.
"Apply the ocean palette." / "Make the primary color #0e7490."
- Adjust diagram colors per slide or globally; clear overrides.
"Reset diagram colors on this slide."
- Change typography, upload a course logo, show/hide the logo.
"Use Inter for headings and hide the logo on the title slide."
Sharing & account
- List who a course is shared with, grant or revoke access by email.
"Share this with sara@acme.com as editor." / "Revoke John's access."
- Create or revoke public share links.
"Make a view-only share link for this course."
- Change your account name, log out, or resend the verification email.
